Today's Power Tip for Success

FAIL FORWARD!

“Failing doesn’t make you a failure.  Failure is an occurrence rather than a person.”

~ Dick Anderson

How you define and interpret the setbacks in your life will have a tremendous impact on your ultimate success.  Everyone encounters times of failure, faltering, and falling.  Yet the champion knows failure is an occurrence, rather than an indicator of internal character.  Failure is an experience, not the expression of your identity.  Your identity comes from your Creator, the Almighty God who made you victorious in His image.  You are a victor, an overcomer, and more than a conqueror.  You are well able to possess the promises of God.  You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.  You are strong and very courageous.  You are steadfast and immovable.  Clearly define your identity by the word of God.  As you pursue your goals and vision, there will be times when you attempt an achievement and fall short.  Failures will come, yet the experience does not change your identity.  Fail forward!  Let it fuel your fight to win.  Failure is a teacher, not a title.  What can you learn from the experience?  What can you do differently to avoid future defeat?  What can the experience of failure teach you on your journey to success?  How can you adjust your actions and attitude?  What will strengthen your strategy?  Look and listen for the lesson embedded in the outcome.  When you learn from the experience, you are better equipped, and armed for bigger battles.  Failure will drive you forward into greater levels of victory.  Fail forward!  Do not fixate on the failure.  Learn to frame it in the context of your greater goals, and use it as a stepping stone to higher accomplishments.  Fear of failure will keep you from taking action and moving in the direction of your dreams and goals.  Do not assign greater meaning to the experience of failure than what is intended.  Do not let failure define you.  Whoever is born of God overcomes the world.  Allow failure to serve its purpose – to instruct you, mature you, and mold you for future triumph.  Fail forward!
